Café Vian is now an institutional place in Budapest.

In 2008, a sociological survey tried to answer the following question : In which matters did Hungarians’ life change in the last 10 years ?

From 1998 on, this small bistro did all the way from the cocktail bar with salads to traditional french brasserie, with a Hungarian cuisine corner for locals and tourists… no matter if the are on a business or family trip, or just come for the Sziget Rock festival.

And to make is more pleasant, add to this ; some 15 home made desserts and pastries, and around 40 Hungarian small producers’ wines.

For those who have no time, Café Vian also proposes an everyday changing daily menu, at very friendly price.

Café Vian is now established at Budapest’s 3 most important locations : Unesco World Heritage Academy of Mmusic and Andrassy avenue corner, old jewish district’s must see Gozdu passage, and next to the Basilika in the very heart of the city.

All our bistros have terrace, all have menus translated in 4 languages (English, French, Russian, German). All of them have non-stop service and are waiting for guest for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea time.

Managers did not change from the very first day back to the opening in 1998. Cafe Vian is « their home away from home » and they will welcome you as a friend.
